Shadowrun Reawakened, based upon the Shadowrun pen and paper game, is an immersive role-play experience in Second Life.

When one cycle ends, another one starts anew. The Mayan Long Count calendar predicted an end to our world in 2011, but none could say how. That is, until the Awakening ushered in The Sixth World. With it, humanity lost its place as the one true heir of Earth. Mutants, known as metahumans, as well as other fantastic creatures came to be and now take active parts in a magical technologically advanced future.

Ecological disasters, war, and wild magics changed the face of Earth forever. Lost lands ascend from the oceans and empires of an ancient, forgotten world rage on again. By 2059, nations have fallen and in their place rise the corporations. Conflict between old and new worlds is fierce and there are no contested battlegrounds like that of Seattle, Washington.

Will this new age reconcile with the old? Might one dominate the other? Can either detour threats from sources both esoteric and mundane? Take part in a world struggling with balance and change-fight the good fight in Shadowrun Reawakened!
